Sunrise Vows Above the City
Perched high above Boulder on the summit of Flagstaff Mountain, Sunrise Amphitheater lives up to its name—offering awe-inspiring views of the eastern horizon and cityscape below. Facing east, it’s one of the most magical places in Colorado to exchange vows at first light, but it’s equally stunning throughout the day.
This historic open-air venue, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, features tiered stone seating, a small stage, and a spacious circular ceremony area—all crafted from native stone to blend beautifully with the landscape. The setting is ideal for couples who love nature, history, and panoramic mountain views.
Available for weddings from May through October, Sunrise Amphitheater is a favorite for elopements and micro weddings alike. It’s rustic, serene, and unforgettable—just be sure to secure a permit early, as this iconic spot books up fast.
