Meet Kyle Igneczi – Wedding Officiant, Storyteller, and Master of the Moment

Kyle Igneczi has spent most of his life telling stories—and he knows that some of the most meaningful ones aren’t told on a stage. They’re told standing beside two people on one of the biggest days of their lives.

An award-winning actor, designer, puppeteer, voice actor, and public speaker, Kyle has performed in 48 states and 17 countries across four continents. His career has included work with Tony Award-winning regional theatres, Sesame Street, The USO, Crunchyroll, and more. Anime fans may even recognize his voice from One Piece, My Hero Academia, Fairy Tail, and Blue Lock.

But for all those years in front of an audience, Kyle understands something especially important about officiating a wedding: it’s not about putting on a performance.

It’s about you.

Kyle became ordained through the Universal Life Church and began officiating weddings for friends and family. He quickly discovered how much he loved being part of a moment that brings together so many of his favorite things—people, language, storytelling, shared history, and a really good reason to celebrate.

With more than three decades of performance experience, Kyle knows how to read a room. He knows when a little humor belongs, when to let a meaningful moment breathe, and when to simply step back and allow the two people standing in front of him to have the moment.

Originally from Ohio, Kyle has lived in New York City, Pennsylvania, and Texas before making his home in Southwest Colorado with his wife, Katlin, and their two children. He now serves as Executive Director of Stillwater Music in Durango, helping people connect through music and the arts.

If you’re looking for a Durango wedding officiant who brings warmth, confidence, exceptional storytelling, and just the right amount of personality to your ceremony, Kyle would be honored to help tell this chapter of your story
