The designated ceremony site—the Maroon Bells Amphitheater—requires a reservation and books up fast, often a year in advance. But for couples open to a more spontaneous or low-key approach, you can legally marry on any trail in the area without a reservation or fee, as long as you don’t use the amphitheater space or set up equipment. It’s a great option for adventurous elopements with epic views and fewer logistics.

Reservations are not accepted for Fridays and Saturdays in June, July and August; Reservations are not accepted for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in September and October.
